Permit Component - Redevelopment Areas

The permit program for activities related to areas of new development and significant redevelopment focuses on land development regulations, codes, and their implementation.

The Cycle 4 permit required that during year 2 (Fiscal Year 2017-2018), Permittees review their entity's land development regulations and codes to see if any changes could be recommended to encourage the use of practices that would reduce the stormwater impact resulting from the proposed development or redevelopment. A summary report is provided with the year 2 annual report which should include:

  • List of regulations reviewed
  • List of the current techniques aimed at reducing the stormwater impacts
  • List of techniques recommended/proposed for future incorporation into the regulations
  • A plan for implementing changes

During permit year 4 (which began Fiscal Year 2019-2020) each Permittee must provide a follow-up report that documents what changes were made to the land development regulations and/or codes, based on the recommendations made during the Year 2 review. These should be completed by September 30, 2020 and will be submitted with the 4th year annual report.
